Dr.Jewels-TheArtist : As a practicing veterinarian, her journey from the medical field to creative arts manifested into her desire to share & shape her deep connection, recognition and passion; to integrate art, animals and the human spirit. 

After many years as a veterinarian she arrived upon a natural evolution of her desire to turn discarded pieces into treasures with Mosaic Art.  As a Woman of Colour who was born into a family that celebrates culture, music and art, she draws inspiration from her California, New Orleans and Takoma D.C. roots.  Her works are in celebration of life’s evolution, and the beautiful complexities of that change within the all encompassing reinvention of self.
