Blind Girl Painting

As a high school senior I was diagnosed with a degenerative retina disease called Stargardts. Slowly year after year I am losing my central vision. I found joy working as a stay at home mom for years then spent 12 years working in a public school as a special educator. During the COVID shutdown I took some painting classes for fun with friends and was surprised with how much I enjoyed it. Since then, I have played around with different mediums and taken more classes and have found water color to be my favorite. I love the way I can move paint to discover the picture as I go.
